The Advisement Resource Center assists students with the academic and personal challenges they often face. The primary focus of the center is on the support of and advocacy for students in developmental courses and those identified as “at-risk.” The center also works collaboratively to provide student workshops, faculty advisor training, and other services that promote student success. The center staff may assist students through referrals to outside agencies for students with personal needs. Services are available at the McClellan Center, Inzer Hall on the Wallace Drive Campus, in the Administration Building on the Ayers Campus, and at Cherokee. Students may telephone 256.549.8307 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for additional information.
The Resource Center is open to Gadsden State students, as well as to the public. The center serves as a resource for faculty advisors and provides information for persons seeking guidance about careers, majors, colleges, and scholarships. The resource center includes on-line career development software, 4-year college/university catalogs, study skills information, and employment preparation materials. Computers are available for online research related to careers and college transfer.
