Transcript Policy

A transcript is an exact and complete copy of a student's permanent academic record at the time it is issued. It can be either an official or an unofficial transcript. The latter is issued only to the student or authorized employees of the College. Partial transcripts are not issued.

The official permanent academic records for all Gadsden State students are maintained by the Office of Admissions and Records. This information is protected by federal law and released only in accordance with the guidelines set forth in the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act of 1974. Only the student may request a copy of his or her academic record. Friends and family are not permitted access to a student's record without the written permission of the student. Gadsden State reserves the right to verify written permission before releasing the transcript to anyone other than the student.

A student may request one official transcript at no charge. Thereafter, a $5 fee (plus applicable sales tax) will be charged for each official transcript ordered.

Orders for official Gadsden State transcripts are placed with and processed by Parchment. The student will designate the manner of delivery (electronic, physical mail or pickup) when placing the order.
