This course provides an introduction to human services and related theories and systems. Emphasis
is placed on the roles and functions within the existing human services organizations by utilizing service
learning or field trips to the different organizations, and guest lecturers representing different human
service occupations. Upon completion of this course, students should be familiar with the many agencies and
institutions which deliver human services and the components of their delivery systems.
